LIMITED WARRANTY, WAIVER OF LIABILITY, AND TERMS OF SERVICE
Prius Battery Repair Las Vegas – Hybrid Battery Replacement Limited Warranty
By purchasing and accepting a hybrid battery replacement from Prius Battery Repair Las Vegas ("PBRLV," "we," "our," or "us"), the customer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to the following Limited Warranty, Waiver of Liability, and Terms of Service.
Warranty Coverage
Prius Battery Repair Las Vegas provides limited warranty coverage for the hybrid battery installed in your vehicle, as identified on the original invoice.
- New Aftermarket Hybrid Battery Includes a 4-Year Unlimited Mileage Limited Warranty, covering defects in materials, workmanship, and installation.
- OEM Toyota Modules – High Capacity Includes a 3-Year / 36,000-Mile Limited Warranty, whichever occurs first, covering defects in materials, workmanship, and installation.
- OEM Toyota Modules – Mid Capacity Includes a 1-Year / 12,000-Mile Limited Warranty, whichever occurs first, covering defects in materials, workmanship, and installation.
All warranty periods begin on the original installation date and apply only to the original purchaser and the original vehicle identified on the invoice.
If a covered failure occurs during the applicable warranty period and is confirmed through the diagnostic procedures of Prius Battery Repair Las Vegas, we will repair or replace the covered hybrid battery, at our sole discretion, at no additional charge, subject to the terms, conditions, and exclusions contained in this Limited Warranty.
Any warranty repair or replacement performed under this warranty does not restart, extend, or renew the original warranty period. The warranty expiration date remains based on the original installation date.
The warranty applicable to the installed battery is determined solely by the battery type listed on the customer's original invoice.
Product Acknowledgement
New Aftermarket Hybrid Battery
The customer acknowledges that aftermarket hybrid batteries are manufactured by independent third-party manufacturers and are not manufactured, supplied, or endorsed by Toyota Motor Corporation.
Prius Battery Repair Las Vegas does not manufacture these batteries. Our role is limited to selecting suppliers, testing where applicable, installing the battery, and providing warranty service.
We select suppliers based on product quality, supplier reputation, available testing data, reliability, and our professional experience. While we strive to use the highest-quality aftermarket products available, no representation is made that these batteries are manufactured by or equivalent to Toyota beyond the terms of this Limited Warranty.
OEM Toyota Modules – High Capacity & Mid Capacity
The customer acknowledges that these battery packs are assembled using genuine OEM Toyota battery modules that have been professionally tested, matched, balanced, and assembled by Prius Battery Repair Las Vegas.
These batteries are not new Toyota battery assemblies. Because they utilize previously manufactured OEM Toyota modules, normal variations in age, capacity, and service life may exist despite our testing and quality control procedures.
Prius Battery Repair Las Vegas installs only OEM Toyota modules that meet our internal quality standards; however, no specific service life can be guaranteed beyond the applicable warranty period.
Whether your hybrid vehicle is experiencing intermittent battery problems or complete battery failure, we provide dependable solutions that restore performance and extend battery life.
Warranty Service Requirements
- All warranty inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and battery replacements must be performed exclusively by Prius Battery Repair Las Vegas.
- The customer agrees to notify Prius Battery Repair Las Vegas immediately upon experiencing a potential warranty issue and to provide us with a reasonable opportunity to inspect and diagnose the vehicle before any repairs are performed.
- Repairs, diagnostics, battery removal, modifications, or replacement performed by any other repair facility, dealership, technician, or individual without prior written authorization from Prius Battery Repair Las Vegas will void this Limited Warranty.
- Prius Battery Repair Las Vegas is not responsible for work performed by third parties and will not reimburse the customer for repairs, labor, parts, or diagnostic charges incurred without prior written approval.
Warranty Exclusions
This Limited Warranty is void if any of the following occur:
- Misuse, abuse, neglect, or improper operation of the vehicle.
- Tampering with, disassembling, or attempting to repair the battery by unauthorized persons.
- Modification of the hybrid battery or hybrid electrical system.
- Removal, alteration, or damage to warranty seals, serial numbers, or tamper-evident labels.
- Exposure to flooding, excessive moisture, fire, collision damage, environmental contamination, or hazardous chemicals.
- Vehicle storage exceeding thirty (30) consecutive days without operating or maintaining the hybrid battery.
- Installation of the battery into a vehicle other than the one identified on the original invoice.
- Salvage, rebuilt, flood, dismantled, or branded title vehicles unless approved in writing before installation.
- Installations, diagnostics, repairs, or battery removal performed by anyone other than Prius Battery Repair Las Vegas without prior written authorization.
- Continued operation of the vehicle while significant engine, inverter, charging, or hybrid system faults are present.
Non-Covered Conditions
This Limited Warranty does not cover failures or damage resulting from conditions unrelated to the installed hybrid battery, including but not limited to:
- Internal combustion engine failures.
- Inverter failures.
- Cooling system failures.
- Transmission failures.
- Charging system problems.
- Fuel system issues.
- Electrical wiring problems.
- Corrosion.
- Rodent damage.
- Accident damage.
- Natural disasters.
- Abuse or neglect.
- Pre-existing vehicle defects.
Diagnostic trouble codes or warning lights alone do not establish a warranty claim. Prius Battery Repair Las Vegas must determine that the installed hybrid battery is the cause of the failure before warranty coverage applies.
If the battery becomes discharged due to unresolved engine, inverter, charging, fuel, or hybrid system issues, the discharge is not considered a warrantable failure. Diagnostic and battery service charges may apply.
Towing and Incidental Expenses
This Limited Warranty covers only the repair or replacement of the covered hybrid battery, when applicable.
This warranty does not include reimbursement for:
- Towing
- Roadside assistance
- Rental vehicles
- Ride-share or transportation expenses
- Hotel or lodging expenses
- Lost wages
- Loss of vehicle use
- Shipping expenses
- Diagnostic charges from other repair facilities
- Labor performed by other repair facilities
- Any incidental, indirect, or consequential damages
- Abuse or neglect.
- Pre-existing vehicle defects.
If towing is required, the customer is solely responsible for arranging and paying for transportation of the vehicle to Prius Battery Repair Las Vegas unless otherwise agreed to in writing
Exclusive Remedy
The customer's sole and exclusive remedy under this Limited Warranty is repair or replacement of the covered hybrid battery, at the sole discretion of Prius Battery Repair Las Vegas.
No cash refunds, partial refunds, reimbursements, credits, or compensation for third-party repairs will be provided unless expressly authorized in writing by Prius Battery Repair Las Vegas.
Limited Liability Disclaimer
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Prius Battery Repair Las Vegas disclaims all warranties not expressly stated in this document, including any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
Prius Battery Repair Las Vegas shall not be liable for incidental, indirect, special, punitive, or consequential damages arising from the installation, use, or failure of the hybrid battery, including but not limited to vehicle downtime, loss of use, lost profits, towing expenses, rental vehicle costs, or lost income.
Transferability
This Limited Warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser and the original vehicle identified on the invoice.
Transfer of the battery to another vehicle automatically voids this warranty.
Sale of the covered vehicle does not transfer this warranty unless otherwise required by applicable law.
Claim Procedure
To initiate a warranty claim, the customer must contact Prius Battery Repair Las Vegas as soon as reasonably possible after discovering a potential issue.
The customer must make the vehicle available for inspection by Prius Battery Repair Las Vegas.
Warranty coverage will not be determined until our technicians have completed a diagnostic evaluation.
If the battery is found to be functioning properly or the issue is unrelated to the installed battery, standard diagnostic charges may apply.
Permanent Diagnostic Trouble Codes (Permanent DTCs)
Certain hybrid vehicles are equipped with Permanent Diagnostic Trouble Codes (Permanent DTCs) that are stored by the vehicle's onboard computer.
Permanent DTCs cannot be manually cleared by Prius Battery Repair Las Vegas using a scan tool or diagnostic equipment. These codes are retained and cleared only by the vehicle after it completes the manufacturer's required self-diagnostic drive cycles and operating conditions.
Following a hybrid battery replacement, a Permanent DTC may remain stored even though the original problem has been corrected. The presence of a Permanent DTC alone does not indicate that the replacement battery is defective or that the repair was unsuccessful.
The time, mileage, and driving conditions required for a Permanent DTC to clear are determined solely by the vehicle manufacturer and its onboard programming. Prius Battery Repair Las Vegas has no control over when these codes are removed and cannot guarantee when they will clear.
The customer understands and acknowledges that Permanent DTCs are a normal function of the vehicle's onboard diagnostic system and are not considered a warrantable condition.
If a warning light remains illuminated or new diagnostic trouble codes appear after installation, Prius Battery Repair Las Vegas will inspect the vehicle to determine whether the condition is related to the installed hybrid battery or another vehicle system. Warranty coverage applies only if the installed hybrid battery is determined to have failed under the terms of this Limited Warranty.
